Founded in 2013, the Blue Ridge Chapter is a local chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Our mission is to enrich lives through organ and choral music. To achieve this, we encourage excellence in the performance of organ and choral music; inspire, educate, and offer certification for organists and choral conductors; provide networking, fellowship, and mutual support; nurture future generations of organists; promote the organ in its historic and evolving roles; and engage wider audiences with organ and choral music.
Membership in the Blue Ridge chapter is open to anyone who is interested in organ and choral music. Our members are involved in many different types of music making in Western North Carolina, from organ, church music, and choral groups, to classical ensembles, orchestras, and jazz groups. Be sure to check out the events page to see what's going on in your community, and contact us for more information about joining the Blue Ridge AGO.
